Permissions Used
Camera Permission
The CAMERA permission is used exclusively for:
- Scanning QR codes when accepting child profile sharing invitations
- No photos or videos are captured, stored, or transmitted
- Camera access is only activated when you explicitly choose to scan an invite QR code
Internet Permission
Required for:
- Syncing data with Firebase cloud services
- Sending email invitations
- Real-time updates across devices
Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore
- Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- Access is controlled through Firebase Authentication
- Only authenticated users can access their own data
- Shared data is only accessible to explicitly authorized users
Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

- You explicitly invite another user to access a child's profile
- Shared users can only access data you've granted permission for
- You maintain full control over who has access and can revoke access anytime

Children's Privacy
BarnSchema stores information about children as entered by parents/guardians. We do not:
- Collect information directly from children
- Market to children
- Allow children to create accounts
The app is designed for use by parents, guardians, and authorized caregivers only.
Data Retention
- Data is retained as long as your account is active
- You can delete child profiles or your account at any time
- Deleted data is permanently removed from our servers
- Backup copies may be retained for up to 30 days for recovery purposes

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Posting the new policy in the app
- For significant changes, sending an email notification

For Closed Testing Users
